Felt Ravenclaw Crest

Handcrafted Ravenclaw crest made out of felt by Me


19cm [7.5"] high (From tip of wings to the bottom)
14.5cm [5.7"] wide


This took me roughly about, 2 days to make, give or take a few hours.

And you are probably wondering why its Bronze and blue and not Silver and Blue. I decided to go with the book version rather than the movie version

I think the hardest part would have been cutting out the letters. I use chalk to mark the black felt before I start cutting. Unfortunately every time I brushed it (on accident!), most of it would be brushed off, so I would have to remark it, AGAIN! But I got there in the end!

I have sewn on a Blue and Bronze cord (by twisting embroidery thread together) to the back of the crest.

Hmm.. It turned out ok. I only have 2 different blue pieces of felt to work with. So it was either this darkish blue or a sky blue.
